The Lazy Tulip Café is a mindful independently owned café in the heart of downtown Barrie with a focus on fresh and conscious eating.

Open seven days a week we offer a breakfast and lunch menu that strongly emphasizes vegetarian and gluten free options along with locally raised meats & free range eggs.

Everything is made in house including our sandwich bread which is a whole wheat focaccia & our soups which are always made gluten free.

The Lazy Tulip vibe is worldly, spiritual & funky. We are proud to serve Planet Bean Coffee, a small micro-roaster from Guelph along with sustainably sourced teas from Pluck Tea.  Ask for our tea menu & loose leaf sample box.

We believe in community, inclusivity and treating all beings with love and respect. Open seven days a week….hope to see you soon.

A Cozy and Unique Eatery in Downtown Barrie

Always inviting and fun - Lazy Tulip is a favourite of mine. Coffee is always fresh and I love their home baked Cheddar Spinach muffins. Owner, Michelle, is always on hand to meet and greet and staff are friendly. Love the patio in the summer and early fall.

Awesome vibe and great food!

We stopped in here after a ski weekend and what a wonderful surprise. Great art, great service and the food was excellent. We needed some vegan options and they did not disappoint. Everything is fresh and flavourful.

Delicious, healthy food at affordable prices

I had lunch here with a friend and we both enjoyed it very much. She has food allergies, I'm a vegetarian and both of us were able to find selections on the menu that we enjoyed. The servers were friendly; the food was delicious; and the prices are reasonable.

The vast majority of people and small businesses in Barrie have been doing their part to protect our community from the virus. We've shown that collective action is possible. Let's not let a small number of people ruin it for all of us (including some political leaders who have let us down).🎉 To celebrate those who have been following public health orders and doing their part to protect our community - let's rally around our neighbours. There are two fantastic ways for you to support local restaurants safely over the next few weeks - the vast majority of restaurants and their workers are following public health guidelines and they should be rewarded for that.✅ Locallicious is a Food Festival to support small, local restaurants with amazing take-out meals! It is running until April 25 - check out all that this festival has to offer here: locallicious.ca/✅ Another great initiative to support local restaurants was just passed by City Council this week. From now until May 14, residents who receive a parking ticket from the City of Barrie can have the ticket cancelled if they provide proof of purchase (a receipt) from a Barrie restaurant in an amount equal to or greater than the set fine, within five days after receiving the ticket. The program does not apply to tickets related to safety matters. To submit a request for the cancellation of a parking ticket, residents can email a copy of their ticket and restaurant receipt to enforcement.services@barrie.caI'm proud of our community, let's keep up the good work. #Barrie ...
